In the wake of the Covid-19 virus, the Department for Transport has allowed a temporary and limited urgent relaxation of the EU drivers’ hours rules in England, Scotland and Wales, as outlined in Article 14(2) of regulation (EC) No 561/2006.

Namely, drivers of vehicles involved in the delivery of food, non-food (personal care & household paper & cleaning) and over the counter pharmaceuticals will be effected.
